Stara Zagora received two honors from the prestigious National Building of the Year competition
Stara Zagora received two honors from the prestigious National Building of the Year competition - for its overall contribution to urban development and a prize for a completely renovated overpass over the railway line and Slavyanski Blvd, with the construction of two new roundabouts. The awards were presented tonight in Sofia. On behalf of the Mayor of Stara Zagora Zhivko Todorov, the deputy mayor, engineer Yancho Kaloyanov, and the chief architect of the municipality Victoria Grozieva expressed their gratitude for the high distinction for the work of the team.
There were five sites in which Stara Zagora participated in the traditional investment, construction and architecture event in Bulgaria. In the category "Projects related to urban development" of seven nominations, five are projects implemented under the linden trees - Stara Zagora Cultural Center, renovation of the Artillery parks and Metropolitan Metodiy Kusev, overpass reconstruction over the railway line and Slavyanski Blvd., as well as the renovation of the central pedestrian area and the square in front of the Municipality. The Cultural Center in the Union House is also a nomination in the category "Social Infrastructure - Health, Education, Sports".
The jury was from November 10 to 30, and the online voting began on December 1 and continued until November 9. Gala tonight gathered dozens of representatives of industry and industry organizations, as well as various institutions.
The National Building of the Year competition aims to distinguish the best achievements in the implementation of contemporary building projects in the respective year in Bulgaria, as well as the investor, architect and builder related to their realization.
